
Its that time of year again for Hinano’s annual Spring Broke Party in Hawaii. Hinano teams up with Nella Media Group, and MA’ OHI NUI to bring you the party of the year! This year’s entertainment lineup includes a Hinano Fashion Show, showcasing the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, performances by MA’ OHI NUI, and musical performances by Miko Sweet, Beach 5, and headliners Ooklah the Moc.

March 6th is the opening reception of “Doc Porto” the new works of John Culqui. The show is at the Surfing Heritage Museum Store located in South Coast Plaza West located in Costa Mesa. Raffle items are being donated by Hinano Tahiti and the show will go till March 28th.

As the summer came to and end, the crew at Hinano made the bi-annual trip to the Surf Expo Tradeshow in Orlando, Florida. As companies showed their upcoming Spring/ Summer 2010 line, Hinano got a great response from buyers, despite the economic climate, Check out some pics below from Expo and the Hinano Tahiti booth.



Saturday May 2nd 2009, Surf Diva in La Jolla had a launch Party for Hinano Tahiti's Spring/Summer and Surf Diva.The event was catered by Ishiki Plate Lunches of Huntington Beach and included an authentic Tahitian show. Twin sisters Izzy and Coco Tihanyi, co-owners of Surf Diva, opened up their boutique to customers and friends with open arms to showcase all the new Hinano product in the store.This event brought to gether two of the perfect elements that upholds the Island lifestyle, Surf Diva and Hinano Tahiti Apparel. It was a perfect Saturday afternoon!



April 25th Hinano was proud to team up with Kaenon Eyewear, Wahoo’s Fish Taco, Surftech Surfboards & Stand Up Paddle Boards, and Olukai Sandals to host SUP for a PUP Stand Up Paddle for a Pup is a charity event designed to raise money for A Wish For Animals (AWFA) and find new homes for the overwhelming number of abandoned dogs in Southern California. A sample sale was held in Newport Beach CA, to raise money for the the event.

Over $5000 was raised and nearly 20 dogs found a home! Kaenon’s Chris Wyman and Erin Breeze, are the founders of this event and continue to be dedicated to the cause. Hinano is committed to helping out this effort in anyway we can!


Hinano Tahiti kicked off Spring Break by throwing a fabulous party once again in San Juan Capistrano at Ibiza lounge, in which Hinano Tahiti previewed their new spring/summer 09 collection. The night was filled with live entertainment by Nonosina of Anaheim who provided polynesian dancing and live drumming. Music by J.A.M. was provided through out the night. Artist Drew Brophy (www.drewbrophy.com) spent most of the night painting custom art on the nose of a Stand Up Paddle board given by world known sharper Ron House and Riviera Paddle Surf (www.rivierapaddlesurf.com).
At the end of the night the board was auctioned off and raised over $1,400, in which all proceeds went to the local Surfrider Chapter. This was another successful turnout to help the crowd get pumped up for some Hinano Spring Fun!


Hinano teamed up this year again with Heavywater Magazinez to throw its annual fashion show fundraising party! The party was held at the Waterfront Aloha Tower in Honolulu. The event had live Tahitian Shows By, MA'OHI NUI & Ia Ora O Tahiti Nui, and live music performed by groups such as Hot Rain, One drop, Nesian 9 and Kapena.

Hinano showcased their Spring/Summer 2009 collections. Thousands of dollars in clothing and surfboards were given away. The party was to raise money for Hawaii Deaf Surfrider Association, a local non-profit organization. Proceeds from the event go to Hawaii Deaf Surfrider Association whose mission is to provide social surf recreation, instruction, and competition events to the deaf community in Hawaii and throughout the world. Very cool! This annual event has proved to be a huge success bringing out over 3000 people to the party!
